This Church Believes .....

... that true religion has to do with the establishment of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

We believe that the Bible teaches salvation history, and has inexhaustible truths open to our perception as we study and walk in its light.

The Word of God, teaches us to believe:

In a personal God and Saviour Jesus Christ.  Hebrews 1:1-3;  John 1:1-3, 14

In the Holy Spirit, the divine Comforter.   John 15:36

In regeneration and the new birth through acceptance of the gospel.  John 3:3-5; 1:12

The Bible is the inspired Word of God.  2nd Timothy 3:16

That Jesus will return a second time, and His coming will be literal, personal, and visible to all.   John 14:1-3;  Acts 1:11;  Matt 24:30

That man by nature is mortal.    Job 14:12-14; 4:17;  1st Timothy 6:15-16

That immortality is the gift of God, and is received only through Christ.                                  1st Corinthians  15:51-55;  Romans  2:7

That the dead are unconscious.    Ecclesiastes 9:5;  John  11:11-14

That righteousness is a gift and is received by faith.    Romans 3:24-26; 4:3-5

That the law of Ten Commandments is the standard of righteousness, by which all will be judged, and by which all Christians are expected to live.   James 2:10-12;  Exodus 20:3-17;  John 14:15;  1st John 2:3-4

That the original seventh-day Sabbath has never been changed by divine authority, and therfore all Christians are under obligation to keep it holy.   Genesis 2:2-3;  Luke 23:52, 24:1;  Exodus 20:8-11;  Luke 4:16

In the support of the gospel by tithes and offerings.   Leviticus 27:30-32;  Malachi 3:8-11;  Matthew 23:23

In baptism by immersion.    Mark 1:9-10;  Romans 6:3-5;  Matthew 28:18-20

In the ordinances of humility and the Lord's supper.    John 13:4-17;  1st Corinthians  11:23-26;

In the Heavenly sanctuary where Christ is now ministering on our behalf.

Hebrews  7:22-28;   8:1-6;  9:24; 12:1-2;  4:14,16

In the gifts of the Spirit, including the Spirit of Prophecy.    Ephesians 4:8,11;          Revelation  12:17;  19:10

In discarding unhealthy practices such as the use of intoxicants, tobacco, unclean meats, and the irresponsible use of drugs.    Proverbs 23:29-32;  1st Corinthians 3:16-17;  Deuteronomy 14:3-20;  Isaiah 66:15-17

That the true followers of Jesus should manifest Christian modesty in dress and deportment, and should shun all questionable worldly amusements.   1st Timothy  2:9-11;   Matthew  24:37-44;  James 1:27;  1st John 2:15-17

That the foregoing principals are practiced,  not from a sense of "earning" a place in heaven, but rather as the result of an experience where there is a close walk with Jesus Christ, and that these principals are a natural expression of accepting Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour.
